Last night on 16th April 2015 leading Westminster venue One Great George Street held its 1930’s themed Wedding Showcase. Attendee numbers surpassed even its popular inaugural showcase last year; a reflection of the increase in demand the venue has seen from this market.
Champagne and in-house 1930’s themed canapés at the ready; scores of pre-registered brides and grooms to-be together with Wedding Planners were treated to an in-house audio visual demonstration of the venue's seven licensed ceremony spaces, which further enhanced the historical venue's jaw-dropping décor, high ceilings and natural light.
A great feast for all the senses; the scent of TBR Floral Design’s Great Gatsby-inspired flowers and the sound of Diamond Skyline Orchestra’s elegant music filled the air, while attendees enjoyed Peggy Porshen’s delicious cake.
In addition to providing an opportunity for attendees to meet with One Great George Street's preferred suppliers and partners including the Westminster Register Office, Toastmaster David Collins, Hotel Conrad London St James, Viva Vegas Casino & Games Hire and Stationers Michael Adele, the venue showcased the capabilities of its own in-house audio visual, catering and events departments.
Alongside the very popular in-house canapés, Head Chef at One Great George Street David Wilkinson displayed some exquisitely carved melons to fuse some modern-day fun with the 1930’s theme.
Just before carriages, attendees were treated to a confetti-covered photo finish beneath One Great George Street’s spectacular Rotunda – just one of the many venue spaces ideal for capturing lasting memories.
