One Great George Street welcomed 250 of the world’s top decision makers in science, policy, industry, medicine and global health next week, as they arrived at the award-winning London venue, located in the heart of Westminster, to attend the 2010 Pacific Health Summit.
Held in Seattle from 2005-2009, the invitation-only Pacific Health Summit was held in London for the first time in 2010.
One Great George Street is an elegant and historical building, which sits majestically alongside some of London’s most famous landmarks - the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and St James’s Park. With a Great Hall, two theatres, President’s Dining Room and nineteen further rooms, fine dining, a range of amenities and first class service, One Great George Street is the perfect venue for any occasion, be it a major conference, awards ceremony, formal event, intimate dinner or international summit.
Now in its sixth year the Pacific Health Summit has become widely recognized as an important event on the global health calendar and a unique forum to engage the business sector with the broader global health community. The Summit took place during the 22nd – 24th June 2010 and its theme was ‘Maternal and Newborn Health’. The Pacific Health Summit is co-presented by Wellcome Trust, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and The National Bureau of Asian Research, which serves as the Summit secretariat.
