Autumn Update from One Great George Street

The Latest news..Going for Gold, Summer enhancements, Filming & much more.

Historic meeting, event and wedding venue One Great George Street, situated in the heart of London’s Westminster, has achieved GOLD in the AIM Accreditation scheme!

AIM at Entry level is compulsory for all members of the Meetings Industry Association (MIA) - of which One Great George Street has been a member since 1991. The MIA is the largest association for the meetings industry for the UK & Ireland and the keepers of AIM (Accredited in Meetings) the only meetings industry standard endorsed by VisitBritain.

Having AIM as a requirement of MIA membership means that simply being an MIA member demonstrates to buyers that the venue’s services have passed a stringent quality assurance accreditation; it is an additional benefit to MIA membership.

Achievement of the AIM higher Gold (or Silver) Award demonstrates that a venue has attained continuous exceptional standards against the most stringent quality assurance criteria, including a rigorous assessment focusing specifically on a venue’s facilities, services and processes.

Says Gary Payne, Director of One Great George Street and a member of the MIA Council: “Achievement of these higher levels sends such a positive signal to both our existing and potential clients that superior service levels of service and hospitality have been achieved by all members of the professional team here at One Great George Street, whose hard work has been rewarded.”

This Summer has seen the successful replacement of the Sawn Oak Wood 394-square metre floor of the prestigious Great Hall at a cost of £64,000. Also in process is the painting in gold leaf of the front gates and enhancing the gold leaf details on the walls of the Great Hall.
